khaḍgamauktikasauvarṇamaṇikāñcanadarbhakāḥ | haste dhāryās tarpaṇe tu hīrakādi na dhārayet

Rhinoceros-horn, pearls, silver, jewels, gold, and darbha grass / are to be held in the hand; during water-libation (tarpaṇa), however, one should not hold diamond and the like.

Rhinoceros horn, pearls, gold, gems, gold coins and darbha may be worn on the hand in the libations; one should not wear diamonds and the like.
