sa jīvati ya evaiko bahubhiścopajīvyate
jīvanto mṛtakāścānye ya ātmambharayo narāḥ
vahvarthe jīvyate kaścitkuṭumbārthe tathā paraiḥ
He alone truly lives upon whom many depend for life; / other men who feed only themselves are alive yet dead. / One person lives for the sake of many, others for the sake of family,
