ātmārthe'nyo na śaknoti svodareṇāpi duḥkhitaḥ
dīnānāthaviśiṣṭebhyo dātavyaṃ bhūtimicchatā
while another, miserable on account of his own belly, cannot live even for himself. / One desiring prosperity should give to the poor, the helpless, and the distinguished.
