upanīto gurukule vasennityaṃ samāhitaḥ
vibhṛyāddaṇḍakaupīnopavītājinamekhalāḥ

Once initiated, he should dwell in the preceptor's house, constantly composed;
he should wear the staff, loincloth, sacred thread, blackbuck pelt, and girdle.
