vyatikramādasampūrṇamanahaṃkṛtirācaret
paratreha ca tadbrahma anadhītamapi dvijam
yastūpanayanādetadāmṛtyortratamācaret

If incomplete through an irregularity, he should perform it free from egoism;
for in the next world and in this one, that Veda [protects] the twice-born even if not fully recited.
