catasraścādimā rātrīḥ parvavacca vivarjayet
gacchedyugmāsu rātrīṣu pauṣṇapitrarkṣarākṣasān
He should avoid the first four nights, as well as the nodal days; / he should approach [her] on the even nights, [avoiding] the asterisms of Puṣan, the ancestors, and the rākṣasas.
