tubhyaṃ dāsyāmyahamiti grahīṣyāmīti yastayoḥ
kṛtvā samayamanyonyaṃ bhajate na sa daṇḍabhāk
Of the two, if one says 'I will give to you' and the other 'I will take',
and having made an agreement with each other, one does not honor it, he incurs a fine.
