saṃkalpya pitṛdevebhyaḥ sāvitrīṃ madhumaj japaḥ |
śrāddhaṃ nivedyāpośānaṃ juṣapraiṣo 'tha bhojanam ||
"Having formulated the intention for the ancestors and gods, recitation of the Sāvitrī and the sweet verses, / Having offered the śrāddha, the water sip, the command to enjoy, and then eating."
