A woman belonging to another is of two kinds: a remarried woman (punarbhū) and a wanton woman (svairiṇī). The remarried woman is also of two kinds: deflowered and undeflowered. Among these, the deflowered one has already been tainted by association with a man prior to the marriage ceremony. The undeflowered one is tainted by the ceremony itself. Furthermore, one who abandons her husband in youth and willingly associates with a man of the same class is a wanton woman.
