atra ca sveṣu tiṣṭhatsu ity avivakṣtam, asvargyatvādidoṣaśravaṇāt ||
And here, "when his own [kinsmen] are present" is not intended to be restrictive, because the defect of not leading to heaven and the like is stated [generally].
