dakṣiṇena mṛtaṃ śūdraṃ paradvāreṇa nirharet |
paścimottarapūrvais tu yathā saṃkhyaṃ dvijātayaḥ ||

"One should carry out a dead Shudra by the southern, outer gate;
but the twice-born by the western, northern, and eastern [gates] respectively." (MDh 5.92)
