ātreya uvāca
vilvādipañcamūlasya kvāthaḥ syādvātike jvare
pāvanaṃ pippalīmūlaṃ guḍūcī viṣvajo'thavā
Ātreya said: / A decoction of the five roots beginning with bilva is [prescribed] in fever of vāta origin; / or pure long pepper root, guḍūcī, and dried ginger.
