ahaṃ śukaś ca pailādyā gatvā vadarikāśramam /
vyāsaṃ natvā pṛṣṭavantaḥ so 'smān sāramathābravīt //
Having gone to Badarikāśrama, I, Śuka, Paila, and the others,
bowed to Vyāsa and questioned him; he then spoke the essence to us.
