viṣṇupādāt plāvayitvā candraṃ svargāt patantyapi /
pūrveṇa śītā bhadrāśvācchailācchailādgatārṇavaṃ //
Flowing down from the foot of Viṣṇu, after flooding the moon, they fall from heaven. / To the east, the Śītā flows from mountain to mountain across Bhadrāśva into the ocean.
