sarvāṃś ca paṅktimūrdhanyān pṛcchet praśne tathāsane /
darbhānāstīrya dviguṇān pitre devādikañcaret //
And he should consult all those foremost in the row concerning the question and the seating; / having spread doubled darbha-grass, he should perform [the rites] for the ancestors, beginning with the gods.
