tadahni brahmacārī syādakopo 'tvarito mṛduḥ(1) /
satyo 'pramatto 'nadhvanyo asvādhyāyaś ca(2) vāgyataḥ //
On that day he should be celibate, free from anger, unhurried, gentle, / truthful, attentive, not traveling, abstaining from Vedic recitation, and silent.
