viśve devāḥ śṛṇutemaṃ pitṝnāvāhayiṣye ca /
pṛcchedāvāhayetyukte uśantastvā samāhvayet //
'viśve devāḥ śṛṇutemaṃ'. Then [saying], 'I shall invite the ancestors,' / he should ask; when it is said, 'Invite them,' he should invoke them with 'uśantas tvā'.
