tilān vikīryātha japedāyāntvityādi pitrake /
sapitritre niṣiñcedvā śanno devīrabhi tṛcā //
Having scattered sesame seeds, he should recite 'āyāntu' and so forth for the ancestors; / or he should sprinkle on the ring-finger [kuśa ring] with the triplet 'śanno devīr abhiṣṭaye'.
