rakṣaṇāya ca kaṃsāder bhītenaiva hi gokule /
rāmakṛṣṇau ceratustau gobhirgopālakaiḥ saha //
for protection from Kaṃsa and the rest, out of sheer fear, in Gokula. / Those two, Rāma and Kṛṣṇa, roamed about with the cows and cowherd boys.
