cūḍākaraṇakādyañca śravaṇādau na śasyate /
astaṃ yāte guro śukre kṣīṇe ca śaśalāñchane //
The tonsure rite and other [ceremonies] are not commended under Śravaṇa and similar [asterisms], / nor when Jupiter or Venus has set, or when the moon is waning.
