nyūnaḥ saptakṛto vārastadadhastithināḍayaḥ /
saguṇo dviguṇaścoroddhvaṃ tribhirūno guṇaḥ punaḥ //
Divided by seven, it yields the weekday; below that are the nāḍīs of the lunar day;
multiplied by the multiplier and doubled above, the multiplier is again diminished by three.
