ṣaṣṭibhiś ca palair liptā liptāṣaṣṭistvaharniśaṃ /
pañcamārdhodaye bālakumārayuvavṛddhakāḥ //
And sixty palas make a minute; sixty minutes make a day and night.
At the rise of the fifth half [of the breath], there are child, youth, adult, and old [states].
