ekāhato hy āvivihādūrdhvaṃ hastodakāt tryahaṃ /
pakṣiṇī bhrātṛputrasya sapiṇḍānāṃ ca sadyataḥ //
[Ritual impurity lasts] for one day prior to marriage, but for three days after the ritual pouring of water on the bride's hand; / for a brother's son it lasts a day and a night with the intervening night or day, and for sapindas [it terminates] immediately.
