vipraduṣṭāṃ striyaṃ bhartā nirundhyādekaveśmani /
yat puṃsaḥ paradāreṣu tadenāñcārayedvrataṃ //
A husband should confine an unfaithful wife to a single dwelling; / that penance which applies to a man who commits adultery with another's wife, he should make her perform.
