ahaṅkārācchabdamātramākāśamabhavattataḥ /
sparśamātro 'nilastasmādrūpamātro 'nalastataḥ //

From the ego-sense arose the subtle element of sound, and thence space;
from that, the subtle element of touch [and] wind; thence, the subtle element of form [and] fire;
