tāṃścārayitvā trīn kṛchrān yathāvidhyupanāyayet /
vikarmasthāḥ parityaktāsteṣāṃ mapyetadādiśet //
having made them perform three kṛcchra penances, one should initiate them according to rule. / One should also prescribe this for those fallen into illicit deeds or abandoned.
