ekabhaktaṃ tryahābhyastaṃ kramānnaktamayācitaṃ /
prājāpatyamupoṣyānte pādaḥ syāt kṛcchrapādakaḥ //
Eating a single meal [in the day] for three days, then similarly at night, then unasked-for food, / and fasting at the end, is the prājāpatya; one quarter [of it] is the kṛcchrapāda.
