viśvedevāstu viśvāyāḥ sādhyān sādhyā vyajāyata /
maruttvayā maruttvanto vasostu vasavo 'bhavan //
From Viśvā were born the Viśvedevas; Sādhyā gave birth to the Sādhyas; / by Marutvatī were the Marutvats; and the Vasus were born from Vasu.
