vratadvayādyamaḥ proce prāpya tat kaiśiko dadau /
budhāṣṭamīdvayaphalaṃ svargatau pitarau tataḥ(3) //
Yama said, 'From the two votive observances.' Having obtained that, Kauśika gave / the fruit of two Budhāṣṭamī [observances]; thereupon the two parents went to heaven.
