agnir uvāca
aśokapūrṇimāṃ vakṣye bhūdharaṃ ca bhuvaṃ yajet /
phālgunyāṃ sitapakṣāyāṃ varṣaṃ syādbhuktimuktibhāk //
Agni said: / I shall declare [the rite of] Aśokapūrṇimā: one should worship the mountain and the earth / on the full-moon day in the bright fortnight of Phālguna for a year; one comes to share in worldly enjoyment and liberation.
