mukhyaḥ sargaś caturthastu mukhyā vai sthāvarāḥ smṛtāḥ /
tiryaksrotāstu yaḥ proktaḥ stairyagyonyastataḥ smṛtaḥ //
The fourth creation is the primary; the immobile beings are known as the primary. / That which is proclaimed as having an oblique flow of life is remembered as that of the animals.
