agnnir uvāca
dīpadānavrataṃ vakṣye bhuktimuktipradāyakaṃ /
devadvijātikagṛhe dīpado 'bdaṃ sa sarvabhāk //
Agni said:
I shall explain the votive observance of giving lamps, which bestows worldly enjoyment and liberation.
One who gives a lamp in a temple of the gods or the house of a twice-born for a year enjoys everything.
