vāme tu vardhanīṃ nyasya pūjādravyaṃ tu dakṣiṇe /
prakṣālyāstreṇa cārghyeṇa gandhapuṣpānvite nyaset //
Placing the vardhanī pitcher on the left and the worship implements on the right, / washing them with the astra-mantra and arghya water, one should deposit them accompanied by fragrant sandal-paste and flowers.
