gopadantu yathā magnamalpapaṅke tathā bhavet /
upalipya likhedrekhāmaṅgulāṃ vajranāsikāṃ(1) //
such as a cow's footprint sunk into shallow mud would be. / Having smeared [the ground], one should draw lines a finger-breadth [wide] with the tip of a vajra.
