ṛṣīṇāmagnihotreṣu gāvo homeṣu yojitāḥ /
sarveṣāmeva bhūtānāṃ gāvaḥ śaraṇamuttamaṃ //
In the agnihotras and fire oblations of the sages, cows are employed; / cows are indeed the supreme refuge of all living beings.
