kumbhapārśve tu saṃsthāpya rakṣāṃ vijñāpya deśikaḥ /
dantakāṣṭhañcāmarakaṃ pūrve saṅkarṣaṇena tu //

Placing them beside the water jar and announcing protection, the ritual master [should place] / a tooth-stick and a chowrie in the east with [the mantra of] Saṅkarṣaṇa;
