kaniṣṭādi ca devāya vanamālāñca mūlataḥ /
hṛdādiviśvaksenānte pavitrāṇi samarpayet //
And [he should present] the smallest [thread] and so forth to the deity, and the garland of forest flowers with the root mantra; / he should offer the sacred threads beginning with the heart and ending with Viṣvaksena.
