vahnau hutvāgnivartibhyo viṣṇvādibhyaḥ pavitrakam /
prārcya pūrṇāhutiṃ dadyāt prāyaścittāya mūlataḥ //
Having offered into the fire, having worshiped the sacred thread for those who dwell in the fire, beginning with Viṣṇu, / he should give the final full oblation with the root mantra for the sake of expiation.
