hiraṇyagarbhamantreṇa imaṃ meti ca kīrtayet /
ghṛtenābhyañjayet paścāt paṭhan ghṛtavatīṃ punaḥ //
With the Hiraṇyagarbha mantra, and he should recite "This of mine..."; / he should then smear [the image] with clarified butter, reciting once more the verse containing "ghṛtavatī".
