masūrapiṣṭe nodvartya(1) ato deveti kīrtayan /
kṣālayeduṣṇatoyena sapta te 'greti deśikaḥ //
Having rubbed [the image] with lentil flour, reciting "From this the god...", / the preceptor should wash it with warm water with "Seven are your sparks in front..."
