saumitriḥ sītayokto 'tha viruddhaṃ rāmamāgataḥ /
rāvaṇopyaharat sītāṃ hatvā gṛdhraṃ jaṭāyuṣaṃ //

Then the son of Sumitrā, addressed by Sītā, came to Rāma against his will;
and Rāvaṇa abducted Sītā, having slain the vulture Jaṭāyus.
