jaṭāyuṣā sa bhinnāṅgo(3) aṅkenādāya jānakīm /
gato laṅkāmaśokākhye dhārayāmāsa cābravīt //
With his body torn by Jaṭāyus, he took the daughter of Janaka on his lap,
went to Laṅkā, detained her in the grove named Aśoka, and said:
