nivṛtyādiviśuddhena bhasmanā snānamācaret /
śirastaḥ pādaparyantaṃ hrūṃ phaḍantaśarātmanā(2) //
purified by [the mantras of] Nivṛtti and the rest, he should take an ash-bath,
from head to foot, using the arrow [mantra] ending in hrūṃ phaṭ.
