dattaṃ gṛhṇantu(1) me grāsaṃ japtvā syāṃ nirmalaḥ śivaḥ /
prārcya vidyāpustakāni gurupādau namennaraḥ //
Having recited: "May they accept the mouthful given by me; may I be stainless Śiva,"
a man, having worshipped the books of sacred knowledge, should bow to the feet of his guru.
