tṛtīyaḥ sakalaḥ śāstre 'nugrāhyastrividho mataḥ /
tatrādyo malamātreṇa mukto 'nyo malakarmabhiḥ //
and the third is the sakala; in the scripture, the recipient of grace is considered threefold. / Among these, the first is freed merely by [the removal of] impurity; the other by [the removal of] impurity and karma.
