pūjāṃ kumbhe samāhṛtya prāpte lagne 'gnikoṣṭhake /
kuddālenābhiṣiktena madhvaktena tu khānayet //
and having performed worship in the pitcher, when the astrological moment arrives in the fire [southeast] chamber,
he should dig with the consecrated spade smeared with honey.
