ratnaje lakṣaṇoddhāro yavau hemasamudbhave //
one should cause [the lines] connected as three lines to run along the back area. / On a gemstone [liṅga], the engraving of the marks [is the thickness of a barleycorn], and two barleycorns on a golden one.
