na tal-liṅgaṃ pariśrāntā nidrayāpagata-smṛtiḥ //
53. And Yasoda, Nanda's wife, had only a vague notion of something born of her: but, with her memory suspended through sleep in her fatigued state she possessed no clear perception of its sex.
