aśnantya ekās tad apāsya sotsavā abhyajyamānā akṛtopamajjanāḥ /
svapantya utthāya niśamya niḥsvanaṃ prapāyayantyo 'rbham apohya mātaraḥ //

some, eating, cast that aside in their excitement; those being anointed left without bathing;
those sleeping arose on hearing the noise; and mothers nursing an infant set it aside.
