tvaṃ vāsudevo bhagavān avatīṛno jagat-patiḥ /
iti prastobhito bālair mena ātmānam acyutam //

2. "Thou art the glorious Lord Vasudeva, Lord of the Universe that hast appeared on earth". Thus he was flattered by childish men and he thought himself to be really Achyuta.
